Hi Pie Fans,
Time for the weekly newsletter to let you in on all the juicy pie news. Now that it's the height of summer, I'll have all the kinds of pie available at this weekend's farmers' markets.
Before I get into the flavor selection, please note that we won't be at the Mt. Lebanon Uptown Market this Saturday. I apologize to my South Hills customers. Anna will be back there next weekend.
Anyway, the flavors. Oh, the flavors. Here they are:
Savory
mushroom potato leek
jerk sweet potato black bean
chard, feta & sun-dried tomato
beef pho
beef & blue cheese
vindaloo curried goat
pineapple chipotle pork
lamb & feta
chicken tagine
Sweet

golden raspberry
strawberry
blueberry
peach
peach-rhubarb
chocolate bourbon pecan
Come to the markets (Northside on Friday, Bloomfield on Saturday, Squirrel Hill on Sunday) to get some! Again, we won't be at the Mt. Lebanon Uptown Market this weekend. There are plenty plenty plenty of savory handpies so stock up on frozen pies!
Thanks to all the farmers for growing the beautiful produce! All the berries are from Triple B Farms, the rhubarb and sweet potatoes from Who Cooks for You Farm, the peaches from Pauls' Orchard. Feta is from Cherish Creamery and the swiss chard from After the Fall Cider. Goat meat is from Fallen Aspen Farm, and the pork from Blackberry Meadows. Chicken is from Halstead Family Farm while the beef and lamb are from the Fat Butcher is Lawrenceville, who sources all his meat locally. Mushrooms are from Real Fungi.
See yinz at the market!
